Alex Petrou, has taken on the mighty challenge of cycling across the United States to raise awareness and funds in support of homeless youth in both Australia and the USA and sleep on the streets to raise awareness for poverty.

At the planned rate of over 150 kilometres a day from Los Angeles to New York, he expects to be on the road for almost 50 days.

	It was a long day today 130km' over mountains and I have a busted knee! just about to hit the sack as I have another 130k tomorrow!

	feeling sore every day, I am averaging anywhere beteen 90k's to 150k's a day and my bike luggage weighs over 35kg's so it is tough. Plus the road are not flat they are all small or large mountains etc but, i will get through it!
